A new study conducted that shows Acupuncture can assist IVF|Acupuncture of Dallas

A recent study done by Dr. Hana Visnova at her clinic where she logged data from three years of IVF cycles, involving thousands of patients. The study found that there was an increased pregnancy rate–66% compared to 60% in those who used Acupuncture immediately before and after embryo implantation and those who didn’t.(Source)

Acupuncture is used before embryo implantation because it can increase blood flow to the uterus. This also makes the lining of the uterus itself more receptive to the embryo when it’s transferred which aids implantation during IVF.

How Chinese Medicine help Poor Egg Quality before IVF

Poor egg quality often refers to a mitochondrial or chromosomal issue. Mitochondria is an energy producing organelle that also contains DNA and majorly impacts egg quality. There is not much that Acupuncture and Chinese herbs can help with DNA damage related to age however as most of the genetic material was created decades earlier. Chinese herbs like antioxidants can often enhance the function of the Mitochondria. Specifically, Chinese herbs that invigorate the QI and Yang are helpful in this case.
